Lena Wurz: The Shape of Access

The Shape of Access is a presentation of new work by artist Lena Wurz, made during three month residency at The London Centre for Book Arts in 2017. Consisting of prints and a publication, the works are variations of one other and form instructions for stepping into a space. Wurz sees this body of work ‘as objects [to] be arranged depending on the environment they’re exhibited in, as a group or separately… acting as an inception when presented in the same space that they illustrate’.

Alongside the new work this display includes publications and archive material from the Publish and Be Damned Public Library, with which Wurz interacted heavily during the residency.

The exhibition is open to UAL staff and students, alumni and SCONUL members during library opening hours. External visitors by appointment only.
